Guidestar is a site that offers descriptive and financial data on 650,000 nonprofit groups, drawn primarily from the organizations' informational tax returns filed with the Internal Revenue Service. The information includes a breakdown of each charity's assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenditures, including administrative and fund-raising costs. The site also includes profiles of nonprofit groups and links to articles about philanthropy and nonprofit management.

The Stanford Social Innovation Review, a publication of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, chronicles the nonprofit sector and promotes innovative solutions to social problems. The main audience is nonprofit executives, grant making executives, social entrepreneurs, and corporate executives concerned with social, environmental and community issues. The Review aims to foster an exchange of views between public, nonprofit, and private sectors.
The Chronicle of Philanthropy is a national newspaper of the nonprofit world, available to subscribers on its web site. For an additional fee, users can search the Guide to Grants, an electronic database of all foundation and corporate grants listed in The Chronicle since 1995. The site also contains a wealth of free materials including Internet resources, hundreds of job opportunities updated every two weeks as well as forthcoming conferences, workshops, and deadlines for grants and awards.
The Foundation Center offers several different knowledge resources. First is a searchable database (LNPS Online) of the literature of philanthropy. It incorporates the unique contents of the Foundation Center's five libraries and contains more than 21,700 full bibliographic citations, of which more than 14,400 have descriptive abstracts. In addition, the sites offers extensive information, data and statistics pertaining to foundations including statistics on foundations and grants in states and metropolitan areas, lists of top U.S. funders (private foundation, community foundation, corporate foundations), latest funding trends and analysis, tutorial on foundations.

The 'Resource Directory' is broken into nearly 40 categories to further assist with nonprofit management.
The National Center for Charitable Statistics is a statistical resource offering state and national breakdown of the number and types of charities and their sources of revenue. It also includes figures on private support, total expenses, and total assets for individual charities, as reported on the informational tax returns they file with the Internal Revenue Service.

YourOnRamp.com, a free online resource and networking community designed to help professional women creatively navigate career transitions and stay current with developing business and lifestyle trends.
